Yesterday, I was at the library with the kids. We have been going there after school for a distraction free (ha!) zone for Nate and Sarah to do their homework. While there, I noticed a display from a kindergarten class at the kid's school. They had made cute paper mache animals with facts about farm animals. I was so impressed. Then I noticed the names of some of the students. What is with people (sorry if you're one of them) who have to spell their child's name different? Or are these people "hooked on phonics?" Here are some examples:
Jaxon Is this Jackson?
Brittnee yeah, great role model. I guess she was named before the head shaving, umbrella swinging days.
Jahdon I don't have a clue who this kid's parents are, but I suspect they really like science fiction.
Kameron I'm sure all the kids names in this family start with a "K".
And finally, my favorite...
Trezur How precious...
My sister-in-law teaches school in Utah and has seen some CRAZY names. It's like people made up words. I promise to post them if she sends me a list.

Hey- I don't like that two of my kids' names are on that list. People always ask if Jackson's name is spelled with a ck or an x. I don't get it either. How was D-land?
Yes, but your kids' names are spelled NORMALLY!! That's what annoys me - people who make a conscious effort to spell their kids name different.
D-land was great! I have to get the pics on the computer so I can blog about it...I'm only running about 3 months behind on our life! But it was hardly crowded at all, a gorgeous day, no one got lost and no major bickering with nine little girls. It was a miracle.
I agree with you Shannon. I hate the crazy spelling names. I have a friend whos's daughter's name is "Mackenzie" but spelt Megenzie.......What's up with that. My sister spells her daughter's ABBEY and MOLLIE. When you are on vacation far away, you will never find a personalized keychaing with your name on it!!
